NDDC Director Urges Niger Delta Youths to Support Tinubu’s Re-Election
NDDC Executive Director Ifedayo Abegunde has urged Niger Delta youths and other stakeholders to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing the administration’s economic reforms.
The Executive Director, Corporate Services, of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr Ifedayo Abegunde, has urged youths and other stakeholders in the Niger Delta to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Abegunde made the call on Wednesday at Arogbo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State during a reception held in his honour following his conferment with a traditional chieftaincy title.
He said Tinubu deserved a second term, arguing that the administration’s economic reforms were beginning to produce positive results and should be sustained.
The NDDC director urged Nigerians to remain supportive of Federal Government policies aimed at improving living conditions.
He also called on youths in the Niger Delta and other parts of the country to take an active interest in the political process and participate in the 2027 elections.
Abegunde said youth development remained critical to the sustainable development of the Niger Delta and unveiled an empowerment initiative under which 50 youths in the community would receive N50,000 each.
The Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty Zacchaeus Egbunu, who conferred the titles of Ebitelemowei and Ebitelemoere of Arogbo Kingdom on Abegunde and his wife, Olajumoke Abegunde, respectively, commended him for his service and commitment to the region.
Egbunu urged the NDDC executive director to continue contributing to the development of the Niger Delta and supporting initiatives that would improve opportunities for young people in the region.
