Nigerian actor and content creator Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has expressed profound gratitude to music executive Don Jazzy, Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen, Pastor Bolaji, and his closest associates for supporting him through what he described as one of the hardest moments of his life.

In a post shared on X on Saturday, the popular skit maker disclosed that he had been deeply moved after reading messages from people recounting things he had done for them at different times — many of which he said he did not even remember. He said the messages made him realise that he had been focusing too much on what he had lost instead of being grateful to God for seeing him through his struggles. "I think this is God's way of telling me to also be thankful!!! I have been thinking too much about what I lost instead of thanking God for seeing me through one of the hardest moments of my life," he wrote.

Mr Macaroni revealed that he was accustomed to giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone assumed he had in abundance. He admitted that he had always found it difficult to ask for help, but eventually sought assistance from people during his difficult period. "I am used to always giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone thought I had in abundance. I have also always found it difficult to ask for help," he said. He then disclosed that an unnamed person repeatedly helped him settle his debts, describing the intervention as something he believed could only have been orchestrated by God. "God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again! I don't think any sane person would do what he did for me without God's intervention!" he wrote.

The actor also expressed appreciation to his fans, whom he affectionately refers to as "Mr Macaroni & Friends," for standing by him throughout his ordeal. "To my closest people in the World (Mr Macaroni & Friends) Thank you for not neglecting me even when you had every reason to. Thank you for saving me," he wrote. He singled out Don Jazzy for special mention, revealing that the Mavin Records boss had been supporting him financially since his university days and had continued to do so up until the present. "To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others!!!" he said. He also thanked Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji for their support.

Mr Macaroni, whose real name is Debo Adebayo, has built a reputation as one of Nigeria's most beloved entertainers, known for his satirical skits that often tackle social issues such as police brutality, sexual harassment, and the struggles of everyday Nigerians. His "Ooin" catchphrase and his advocacy for good governance have endeared him to millions of fans across the country. Despite his public success, his revelation that he faced financial hardship and had to rely on the generosity of others has humanised him further, offering a rare glimpse into the private struggles of a public figure who has always projected strength and positivity.

The skit maker said he was now in a better place and was learning and doing things that made him happy. "I don't and will never regret anything I have ever done in my life to make the lives of others better in even the smallest way possible," he said. He added that the challenges had taught him important lessons and given him greater clarity. "May the love in our hearts be forever greater than the hate in the world," he concluded.

The post attracted an outpouring of reactions from fans and followers, many of whom shared their own experiences of Mr Macaroni's generosity. Gilmore recalled the actor's support for videographers, writing, "You came for my first YouTube skit in 2024 still share bundle give videographers." Another follower, Olúseun Onigbinde, wrote, "May your tribe increase. Keep riding on a bicycle!" Victor Nwoke also recalled receiving $200 from Mr Macaroni during a previous encounter, writing, "I remember when you came for your renewal of visa at our office, you gave me and my colleagues 200 dollars each… Thank you so much." Abiodun A. Adeleke added, "Everything I've heard about you every single time are good and wonderful things. Well done man. Well done."

The revelation from Mr Macaroni serves as a powerful reminder that even those who bring joy to millions can face their own private battles. His willingness to speak openly about his struggles and to express gratitude to those who helped him reflects a vulnerability that is rare among public figures. For Don Jazzy, Victor Osimhen, and the unnamed benefactor who repeatedly settled his debts, the gesture represents the kind of quiet kindness that often goes unnoticed but can change the course of a life. For Mr Macaroni's fans, the message is clear: the man who has spent years making Nigeria laugh is deserving of the same compassion he has always extended to others.
