A former House of Representatives aspirant, Remi Odunsi, has taken the campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, to communities in Kosofe and neighbouring areas.

Odunsi, who contested the APC primary for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat but did not secure the party’s ticket, said her defeat would not discourage her from supporting the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.

She made this known while announcing the launch of the Remi Odunsi Organisation (ROO), a grassroots mobilisation platform inaugurated on Saturday to strengthen the APC’s presence across the constituency.

According to her, the organisation would sustain political engagement through door-to-door campaigns and other community-based activities in support of Tinubu, Hamzat and the APC candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Dele Osinowo.

Following its inauguration, the ROO team conducted mobilisation activities in several communities, including Agboyi-Odo, Maidan, Maryland, Ojota, Ikosi-Isheri, Magodo-Isheri and the Kosofe Arewa community.

Odunsi said the initiative was designed to deepen grassroots participation and encourage residents to engage with the party ahead of the elections.

The mobilisation effort comes amid growing political activities across Lagos State as parties and their supporters intensify community outreach, ward meetings and engagements with local stakeholders ahead of the 2027 polls.
