Ex-Presidential Candidate, LP Campaign Coordinators Endorse Tinubu for 2027
A former presidential candidate and campaign coordinators associated with the Labour Party have declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, adding to the growing list of political figures backing his second-term ambition.
A former presidential candidate and campaign coordinators associated with the Labour Party have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement reflects the growing political realignments ahead of the polls, as individuals and groups from outside the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) announce support for Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
Former members of the 2023 presidential campaign team of Labour Party candidate Peter Obi have also formed a political group known as Batified Obidients to mobilise support for Tinubu and the APC under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The group reportedly brings together coordinators representing the six geopolitical zones, as well as representatives from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The development comes amid broader efforts by Tinubu’s supporters to build cross-party alliances and expand grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 election.
However, endorsements by individual politicians and campaign coordinators do not necessarily represent the official position of the Labour Party as a whole. The party has experienced internal leadership disputes, with different factions pursuing separate political strategies ahead of the election.
The latest declarations add to a series of endorsements by politicians from other parties, as the APC strengthens its campaign structures and prepares for nationwide mobilisation.
