Every Nigerian Will Feel Impact of My Reforms — Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu says his administration’s reforms will benefit every Nigerian, urging patience as policies lay the foundation for lasting prosperity and national development.
President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the impact of his administration’s economic and governance reforms will be felt across the country, insisting that the policies are designed to secure long term prosperity and sustainable national development.
The President gave the assurance on Thursday at the inauguration of the PBAT Door to Door Movement in Abuja. He was represented at the event by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
Tinubu said his administration chose the path of courage by implementing difficult but necessary reforms aimed at rebuilding the nation’s economy and creating a stronger foundation for future generations.
Since assuming office on May 29, 2023, the administration has introduced major economic reforms, including the removal of the fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market. While the measures initially generated public concerns over rising living costs, the government has consistently maintained that they are intended to deliver long term benefits.
Addressing supporters at the event, Tinubu said meaningful national progress requires sacrifice, patience and collective commitment from citizens.
He said great nations are built through the efforts of individuals and communities, adding that democratic engagement must go beyond seeking political support to promoting trust, accountability and good governance.
According to the President, reform is a continuous process intended to create opportunities, restore economic stability and improve the quality of life for future generations.
Tinubu also reaffirmed the commitment of all arms of government to supporting the reform agenda while prioritising the welfare of Nigerians.
He said the Executive, Legislature and the Nigerian people must continue working together to ensure that every citizen benefits from the administration’s policies.
The President further urged political actors to place national interest above partisan considerations, stressing that Nigeria’s unity and progress should always take precedence over political differences.
He encouraged members of the PBAT Door to Door Movement to engage citizens respectfully, listen to their concerns and promote confidence in democracy through constructive dialogue.
Tinubu expressed confidence that the ongoing reforms would ultimately strengthen the country’s economy, deepen democratic values and deliver renewed hope and greater prosperity for all Nigerians.
