EC begins stakeholder consultations on delimitation of new constituencies
The Electoral Commission has launched a nationwide consultation exercise on the proposed creation of 30 new constituencies ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The Electoral Commission (EC) has launched a nationwide stakeholder consultation exercise on its proposal to create 30 new constituencies, bringing the total to 305 ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Chairperson Jean Mensa said the exercise was designed to be inclusive, with community meetings planned in all 16 regions over the next three months.
"Delimitation is a constitutional obligation and we are committed to a transparent process," she said.
