APC Plans Nationwide Rallies Ahead of 2027 Elections, Begins in Kaduna
The All Progressives Congress has proposed a nationwide rally schedule for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign, beginning in Kaduna on October 24 and ending with a major rally in Lagos on January 9.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a proposed schedule for nationwide rallies ahead of the 2027 general elections, with campaign activities expected to begin in Kaduna State on October 24.
The schedule, shared by the party on Thursday, outlines rallies across the six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory, with 12 locations identified for expected attendance by President Bola Tinubu.
According to the proposed timetable, the Kaduna rally will be followed by events in Calabar, Cross River State, on November 2, and Gombe, Gombe State, on November 3.
Other locations listed for November include Lafia in Nasarawa State, Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State, Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Abakaliki in Ebonyi State, Dutse in Jigawa State, Akure in Ondo State, Benin City in Edo State, Jos in Plateau State, Yenagoa in Bayelsa State, Damaturu in Yobe State, Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Ibadan in Oyo State, Maiduguri in Borno State, Enugu in Enugu State and Bauchi in Bauchi State.
The December schedule includes rallies in Makurdi, Benue State; Katsina, Katsina State; Abeokuta, Ogun State; Sokoto, Sokoto State; Umuahia, Abia State; Lokoja, Kogi State; Osogbo, Osun State; Ilorin, Kwara State; Asaba, Delta State; Gusau, Zamfara State; Minna, Niger State; Kano, Kano State; Jalingo, Taraba State; Abuja; and Owerri, Imo State.
The campaign is expected to continue into January, with a rally in Yola, Adamawa State, on January 4, followed by a major closing rally in Lagos on January 9.
The 12 locations marked for expected presidential attendance are Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Jos, Ibadan, Maiduguri, Enugu, Bauchi, Sokoto, Asaba, Kano, Yola and Lagos.
However, the party emphasised that the timetable remained provisional and subject to official confirmation and possible adjustments.
The proposed schedule does not include Anambra State, despite the inclusion of its governor, Chukwuma Soludo, in the revised presidential campaign council as the state’s campaign coordinator.
The development follows the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council on October 14, when Tinubu urged members to lead mobilisation efforts across the country while he continued to attend to government responsibilities.
The President had earlier indicated that he would not attend every campaign event, citing the need to prioritise governance, economic obligations and efforts to attract investors.
The APC’s nationwide mobilisation plan forms part of its preparations for the presidential election scheduled for January 16, 2027, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
