Wike Pledges Completion Of All FCT Projects Before 2027
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has assured that all capital projects initiated under President Bola Tinubu’s administration in Abuja will be completed before the end of the administration’s tenure.
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has assured that all capital projects initiated under President Bola Tinubu’s administration in Abuja will be completed before the end of the administration’s tenure.
Wike gave the assurance during his monthly media chat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while highlighting infrastructure projects executed by the FCT Administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The minister said 107 capital projects initiated under the Tinubu administration had been commissioned in the FCT, with 76 already completed.
He disclosed that 10 additional projects would be commissioned before the January elections, while the remaining projects would be completed before the end of the administration’s tenure.
Wike also highlighted progress on projects inherited from previous administrations.
According to him, the FCT Administration inherited 25 projects from the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari and had completed 23, with two still ongoing.
He added that eight projects inherited from the administrations of former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua had also been reviewed, with six completed and two remaining ongoing.
Wike reiterated the commitment of the FCT Administration to completing all projects initiated under Tinubu before the President’s tenure ends.
He also challenged critics to compare the infrastructure development recorded in Abuja under the Tinubu administration with those of previous governments.
The minister maintained that the scale of ongoing development represented a significant achievement in the history of the Federal Capital Territory.
