Trump Lists 25 Achievements of First 20 Months in Office
US President Donald Trump has highlighted 25 actions and outcomes he described as major achievements during the first 20 months of his second term, covering immigration, the economy, foreign policy, defence and domestic policy.
US President Donald Trump has released a list of 25 achievements he said his administration had recorded during the first 20 months of his second term.
Trump presented the list as a record of his administration’s performance, covering areas including immigration, trade, the economy, foreign policy, national security and domestic policy.
Among the claims, Trump said his administration had ended eight wars through peace agreements and cited the conclusion of the war in Gaza as one of its foreign-policy achievements.
He also listed military operations against Iran, including strikes on its nuclear facilities, claiming that the actions had destroyed the country’s uranium-enrichment capabilities.
On immigration, Trump cited what he described as the strengthening of the US border and said no illegal immigrants had been admitted into the country during the previous 16 months. He also highlighted reductions in refugee admissions and increased immigration enforcement.
The president listed the introduction of tariffs as another major achievement, including 50 per cent tariffs on imported copper, aluminium and steel, as well as 25 per cent tariffs on foreign automobiles.
Trump said the measures were intended to encourage manufacturing and industrial production in the United States. He also claimed that his administration had attracted $19.2 trillion in investment commitments.
Other economic achievements cited included tax cuts and what Trump described as numerous record highs in the US stock market since his election.
On domestic policy, Trump highlighted the Laken Riley Act, which addresses immigration-related criminal offences, and the declaration of English as the official language of the United States.
He also cited increased investment in the US military and measures aimed at strengthening national security.
The list comes ahead of the November 2026 midterm elections, with Trump's administration facing scrutiny over its economic policies, immigration measures and foreign-policy decisions.
While the list reflects Trump's own assessment of his administration's record, some of the claims, particularly those concerning the number of wars ended, border security and the destruction of Iran's nuclear capabilities, remain assertions by the president and have been subject to differing assessments.
