Trump in Excellent Health but Advised to Lose Weight, Says Physician
President Donald Trump was declared in excellent health following a routine medical examination, though his physician advised weight loss, increased exercise and preventive measures to maintain long-term wellbeing.
US President Donald Trump remains in excellent health but has been advised to lose weight and increase physical activity, according to a medical report released following his latest routine health examination.
The assessment was provided by Sean Barbabella after Trump underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation at Walter Reed Medical Center near Washington. The physician stated that the 79-year-old president demonstrated strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical function and remained fully fit to perform the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.
The report recommended preventive measures including dietary improvements, increased exercise, continued weight loss and the use of low-dose aspirin for cardiovascular protection. Trump is currently taking three medications, including two for cholesterol management and aspirin for cardiac prevention.
According to the medical memo, Trump weighs 238 pounds (108 kilograms), up from 224 pounds (101.6 kilograms) recorded during his previous annual examination. At six feet three inches (191 centimetres) tall, the physician advised further weight reduction as part of maintaining long-term health.
The report also addressed public speculation regarding bruising observed on Trump’s hands, attributing it to frequent handshaking combined with aspirin use, which can increase bruising.
Reacting to the results, Trump said the examination went “perfectly” in a post on his social media platform.
