Transfer: Bruno Fernandes to Receive Same Salary as Osimhen at Galatasaray
Galatasaray reportedly plan to offer Bruno Fernandes a salary matching Victor Osimhen’s as they pursue the Manchester United captain.
Galatasaray are reportedly prepared to offer Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes a salary matching that of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as they pursue a move for the Portugal international.
According to Galatasaray insider Emre Kaplan, the Turkish champions have identified Fernandes as a major transfer target and are willing to make a significant financial commitment to secure his services.
Fernandes is yet to finalise new contract terms with Manchester United, prompting speculation about his future at Old Trafford.
Galatasaray are reportedly monitoring the situation closely and are prepared to use Osimhen’s salary as the benchmark for their proposed offer to the midfielder.
Osimhen is currently regarded as Galatasaray’s highest-paid player, following his move to the Turkish club, and Fernandes could receive a similar financial package if the proposed transfer materialises.
Kaplan said Galatasaray are prepared to match Osimhen’s salary while also meeting Manchester United’s demands regarding the transfer fee.
“Galatasaray are prepared to offer Bruno Fernandes the same salary as Osimhen, who is presently the top earner in the squad,” he said, according to Habersarikirmizi.
He added that the Turkish champions were willing to provide whatever amount was required to complete the transfer.
“They will also present whatever amount is necessary for the transfer fee. However, I believe that the reports circulating in the English media are being utilised in negotiations with United,” Kaplan said.
The reported interest comes as Galatasaray continue their efforts to strengthen their squad with established international players.
Fernandes, who has been Manchester United captain, remains a key figure at Old Trafford and has continued to play an important role for the Premier League club.
Any potential move would therefore represent a major transfer for Galatasaray and could significantly strengthen their midfield ahead of the new season.
The Turkish champions are expected to continue discussions surrounding the Portuguese midfielder as they assess whether a deal can be reached with Manchester United.
For now, Fernandes remains a Manchester United player, with Galatasaray’s reported willingness to match Osimhen’s salary adding another layer to speculation surrounding his future.
