Tottenham Sign Savinho From Man City for £75m
Tottenham complete £75m signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City, with deal potentially rising to £85m.
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City for an initial fee of £75 million.
The 22-year-old has agreed to a long-term contract with Tottenham, with the transfer potentially rising to £85 million if performance-related conditions are met.
Savinho joins Spurs after two seasons at Manchester City, where he made 84 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing 16 assists.
The transfer represents a record sale for Manchester City, who signed the Brazilian from Troyes in 2024 for around £30.8 million.
Before moving to England, Savinho enjoyed an impressive spell at Girona, where he scored 11 goals and helped the Spanish club finish third in La Liga and qualify for the Champions League.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is understood to have identified the Brazilian winger as an important addition to his attacking options.
Savinho is expected to bring pace, creativity and direct attacking ability to the Tottenham squad as the club looks to strengthen its options in the final third.
De Zerbi has praised the winger’s energy, imagination and creativity and believes he can make a significant contribution to the team.
The transfer is part of a major rebuilding exercise at Tottenham, with the club investing heavily in the squad during the current transfer window.
Savinho’s arrival also provides the Brazilian with an opportunity to secure a more prominent role after struggling to establish himself as a regular starter at Manchester City.
Tottenham are hoping the winger can quickly adapt to his new surroundings and help the club improve its performances following a difficult previous campaign.
The Brazilian is expected to wear the No. 17 shirt at Tottenham and becomes one of the club’s major attacking additions ahead of the new Premier League season.
The move further strengthens Tottenham’s attacking options as De Zerbi works to build a squad capable of competing more strongly domestically and in Europe.
