Tottenham Sign Savinho From Man City for £75m
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City for an initial £75 million, with the deal potentially rising to £85 million with add-ons. The 22-year-old has signed a long-term contract with Spurs.
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City for a reported initial fee of £75 million.
The deal could rise to £85 million with performance-related add-ons, making Savinho Manchester City’s record sale.
The 22-year-old has signed a long-term contract with Tottenham after spending two seasons at Manchester City.
Savinho joined City in 2024 after an impressive loan spell at Spanish side Girona, where he enjoyed a breakthrough campaign.
However, he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at the Etihad Stadium, making 84 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing 16 assists during his time with the club.
He made 24 Premier League appearances last season but started only seven matches, with limited playing time contributing to his decision to seek a move away from Manchester.
Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca had previously revealed that Savinho made his desire to leave the club clear from the beginning of the summer.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is expected to give the Brazilian a more prominent role as he continues to rebuild the squad following the club’s disappointing 17th-place finish last season.
Savinho becomes the latest major addition to Spurs’ squad, following the arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and other new recruits.
Tottenham have now spent more than £300 million on players during the summer transfer window as the club seeks to return to the upper end of the Premier League.
The move also represents a significant opportunity for Savinho to regain regular first-team football and revive his international prospects with Brazil.
