Tinubu Hails Shettima As Patriot, Trusted Ally At 60

President Bola Tinubu has described Vice President Kashim Shettima as a patriot, trusted ally and committed public servant as he marks his 60th birthday.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Tinubu congratulated Shettima, his wife Nana, children, family members and political associates on the milestone.

The President said Shettima’s life had been defined by service, commitment and sacrifice, describing him as both a valued colleague and trusted partner in governance.

Tinubu also commended Shettima’s career in banking and his record of service to Borno State and Nigeria, first as governor and later as Vice-President.

He said Shettima had demonstrated courage, diligence, compassion and commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians in both positions.

The President praised Shettima’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and his support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Tinubu also commended his deputy’s leadership of the National Economic Council, saying he had played an important role in coordinating economic policies and strengthening cooperation between the Federal Government and sub-national governments.

He further praised Shettima’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, saying these qualities had contributed to strengthening good governance.

Describing the Vice-President as an invaluable partner, Tinubu said his loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty had remained important to the administration.

He thanked Shettima for his partnership in delivering the promises of the Renewed Hope Agenda and expressed confidence that they would continue working together to make meaningful progress for Nigeria.

Tinubu prayed that God would continue to guide, protect and strengthen the Vice-President, granting him wisdom, good health and many more years of purposeful service to the country.
