Tinubu Arrives Paris in Continuation of Annual Leave

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, as he continues his three-week annual leave in Europe.

Tinubu arrived in the French capital on Sunday and was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Emmanuel Ayodele Oke.

The President had departed Abuja on August 30 to begin his annual leave, with London, United Kingdom, as his first destination before proceeding to France.

His vacation was announced by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who said the President would spend three weeks in Europe.

The trip is being described as a working vacation, with Tinubu expected to undertake personal engagements while remaining in contact with developments at home.

The President’s arrival in Paris marks the continuation of the scheduled holiday after his stay in London.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria at the end of the three-week break and resume preparations for the 2027 general election.

His departure from Abuja came shortly after the All Progressives Congress released its Presidential Campaign Council list, with Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima listed as chairman and vice chairman respectively.

The President’s absence from the country has continued to attract public attention as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.

Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after completing the annual leave and continue official engagements as his administration enters another phase of preparations for the upcoming election season.

The Paris leg of the trip therefore forms part of the President’s previously announced itinerary and is expected to precede his return to Nigeria at the conclusion of the three-week leave.

The Presidency has not announced any major official programme for the President during the Paris leg of the vacation.
