Nigeria international Rofiat Imuran has joined Aston Villa from London City Lionesses, becoming the club’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window, subject to visa approval.
Super Falcons defender Rofiat Imuran has joined Aston Villa from London City Lionesses, subject to visa approval.
The 22-year-old becomes Villa’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the 2026/27 Women’s Super League season.
Imuran, who primarily operates as a fullback, made 10 WSL appearances for London City Lionesses last season.
She began her senior career with Rivers Angels before moving to France, where she played for Stade de Reims Féminines.
During her two seasons in France, the defender scored seven goals in 27 appearances before moving to English football in 2024.
At international level, Imuran has represented Nigeria at both youth and senior levels.
She was part of the Falconets squad at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and later featured in Nigeria’s squads for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
Imuran made one appearance during Nigeria’s 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Morocco.
She will wear the number 22 shirt at Aston Villa for the 2026/27 season.
