Saudi League: Great Achievement — Ronaldo Reacts As He Becomes Al-Nassr’s All-Time Top Scorer
Ronaldo celebrates making history as Al-Nassr’s all-time top scorer after his decisive goal against Al-Taawoun.
Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his delight after becoming Al-Nassr’s all-time leading scorer in the Saudi Pro League, describing the milestone as a great achievement.
The Portuguese captain reached the landmark during Al-Nassr’s 2-1 comeback victory over Al-Taawoun on Friday, scoring the winning goal shortly after the restart.
Al-Taawoun took an early lead through Bassam Al-Hurayji in the 11th minute, but Al-Nassr responded before half-time when Samu Costa equalised.
Ronaldo then completed the turnaround five minutes into the second half, helping Al-Nassr maintain their perfect start to the new Saudi Pro League campaign.
The goal took Ronaldo to 104 league goals for Al-Nassr, moving him beyond Mohammed Al-Sahlawi’s previous club record of 103 goals in the competition.
Reacting to the achievement, Ronaldo expressed his happiness while highlighting the contribution of his teammates and supporters.
“It’s a great achievement,” the veteran forward said, reflecting on another milestone in his remarkable career.
Ronaldo’s record-breaking goal also underlined his continued importance to Al-Nassr despite being 41 years old. The Portuguese star remains a central figure in the club’s pursuit of domestic and continental success.
His latest goal was his second of the league campaign and helped Al-Nassr secure their fourth consecutive victory of the season.
The reigning Saudi champions now have 12 points from four matches and remain at the top of the early league standings.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in December 2022 and has since become one of the biggest stars in Saudi football. His goals have played a major role in increasing the club’s international profile while helping the team compete for major honours.
The latest achievement adds to a long list of records established by the five-time Ballon d’Or winner throughout his career.
Ronaldo is also closing in on another extraordinary milestone, having reached 978 official career goals for club and country following his latest strike. He is now only 22 goals away from reaching 1,000.
At Al-Nassr, however, his immediate focus will be maintaining the club’s winning momentum as they attempt to defend their Saudi Pro League title.
The victory over Al-Taawoun showed once again that Ronaldo remains capable of deciding important matches, while his latest record further strengthens his legacy in Saudi football.
