Russian Strike Kills Four in Southeastern Ukraine
A Russian strike on Kamianske in southeastern Ukraine has killed four people and wounded five others amid continued long-range attacks between Russia and Ukraine.
A Russian strike on the southeastern Ukrainian city of Kamianske has killed four people and wounded five others, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Oleksandr Ganzha.
Ganzha said the attack struck Kamianske as Russia and Ukraine continued to exchange long-range missile and drone attacks.
Five people were wounded in the strike, including a 30-year-old woman who was receiving intensive care.
The attack came despite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposal for a ceasefire ahead of the expected visit of US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
The two envoys are President Donald Trump’s lead negotiators in efforts to end the war, with Trump saying they were carrying a proposal aimed at breaking the diplomatic deadlock.
The latest attack highlights the continuing intensity of the conflict despite renewed diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire and advance peace negotiations.
