Raphinha to Sign New Barcelona Deal Until 2030
Raphinha agrees to extend his Barcelona contract until 2030 after Deco confirms renewal is well advanced.
Barcelona forward Raphinha is set to extend his contract with the Spanish champions until 2030 after sporting director Deco confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the Brazilian.
Deco made the announcement on Saturday during Barcelona’s general assembly, saying the renewal was already well advanced and that Raphinha would remain at the club for another four years.
The 29-year-old has become one of Barcelona’s most important players since joining from Leeds United in 2022. He signed a previous extension in May 2025 that moved his deal to June 2028.
The latest agreement will add another two years to his existing contract, keeping him at Camp Nou until 2030, subject to the formal completion of the paperwork.
Raphinha has also taken on greater leadership responsibilities at Barcelona and is currently one of the club’s captains. His importance has increased under manager Hansi Flick, who has used him in different attacking positions.
This season, Raphinha has been deployed centrally on occasions, rather than exclusively on the wing, and his goalscoring form has remained strong.
He currently leads the La Liga scoring chart with nine goals from six matches, according to reports following the opening rounds of the campaign.
His performances have reinforced Barcelona’s desire to secure his future as the club continues building around experienced players and emerging talents.
Raphinha recently indicated that he would be happy to remain at Barcelona for the long term and expressed a desire to finish his playing career at the club.
Deco also confirmed that Barcelona are working on new contracts for young players Marc Bernal and Xavi Espart. The sporting director said the club had made progress on all three renewals during the past week.
The Brazilian’s previous contract extension was announced in May 2025 after an outstanding season under Flick. He scored 34 goals and provided 25 assists in 56 appearances across competitions during that campaign.
Since arriving from Leeds, Raphinha has developed into a regular starter and key attacking outlet for Barcelona.
The formal signing is expected to follow shortly, with the agreement keeping Raphinha in Barcelona colours through June 2030.
The extension provides continuity for Flick as Barcelona pursue honours.
