Radda Urges Katsina Residents to Reward Tinubu with Votes In 2027
Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has urged residents of Musawa to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing federal appointments given to indigenes of the area.
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has called on residents of Musawa Local Government Area to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections in recognition of appointments given to people from the community.
Radda made the appeal on Friday during the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 campaign rally in Musawa, where he highlighted the appointment of the Minister of Art, Culture and Tourism, Hannatu Musa Musawa, and other indigenes to federal positions.
He said the President had demonstrated recognition of the community by appointing some of its sons and daughters to important government positions, urging residents to reciprocate the gesture through their votes.
The governor also cited Muntaqa Jikamshi among those who had benefited from federal appointments under the Tinubu administration.
Addressing local infrastructure concerns, Radda assured residents that work on the Musawa water project and the rehabilitation of the damaged dam would begin the following week.
The rally also featured an empowerment programme facilitated by the member representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency, Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, popularly known as Dujiman Katsina.
Under the programme, 200 motorcycles were distributed, while 1,050 women and more than 800 students from Musawa and Matazu local government areas received ₦50,000 each.
Ahmed pledged continued support for the governor and announced plans to distribute an additional 1,000 motorcycles across the two local government areas.
He also disclosed plans to distribute relief materials to internally displaced persons in Matazu.
Earlier, the Director-General of the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 Campaign Council and former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, commended residents for their turnout, describing the rally as part of the council's engagement across Katsina State's 34 local government areas.
The state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Bishir Gambo Saulawa, urged party members to maintain unity and sustain cooperation, commending leaders and stakeholders for resolving internal disagreements through consensus.
The Minister, Hannatu Musa Musawa, also thanked residents for their reception and called for continued peace, unity and cooperation.
