Governor Dikko Umar Radda has assured President Bola Tinubu that Katsina State will support his re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.

Radda gave the assurance during the inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement’s Katsina chapter, where the group began its grassroots mobilisation campaign for Tinubu.

The governor described Katsina as an APC state and expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure a landslide victory in the state.

He said Katsina had maintained a longstanding political relationship with Tinubu and the wider Yoruba political establishment, recalling Tinubu’s relationship with the late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua and his younger brother, former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

Radda also recalled Tinubu’s contribution to the political process that led to the emergence of former President Muhammadu Buhari, a native of Daura, as President in 2015.

He said Katsina would reciprocate the support and confidence he believed Tinubu had shown towards the state.

“Katsina State is an APC state. Katsina State is a state where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Insha Allah, will have a landslide victory,” Radda said.

The governor also credited the Tinubu administration’s reforms with creating opportunities for state governments to implement development projects.

He urged residents to appreciate the Federal Government’s policies and dismissed criticism of the administration on social media as the activities of “noisemakers”.

Radda assured Tinubu that Katsina would not let him down, saying the state and its people would support his re-election.

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement’s National Coordinator, Sunday Asuku, said the organisation would take its campaign to communities across the country, urging coordinators in Katsina’s 34 local government areas to engage voters directly.

The event ended with the distribution of campaign vehicles and other mobilisation equipment to local government coordinators in the state.
