The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a 19-year-old suspected armed robber and recovered a toy pistol allegedly used during robbery operations.

The suspect was arrested by police operatives during an investigation into robbery incidents in the state.

The command said the suspect was found in possession of a toy pistol, which he allegedly used to intimidate victims during robbery operations.

Police said the arrest followed intelligence gathering and efforts to track individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities.

The suspect is currently assisting investigators with information that could lead to the arrest of other members of the alleged robbery network.

The command said investigations were ongoing, adding that the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
