Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has congratulated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on her 66th birthday, commending her contributions to public service and humanitarian causes.

Oyebanji, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, on Monday in Ado Ekiti, described the birthday as an opportunity to celebrate the First Lady’s contributions and impact.

The governor praised Tinubu’s roles as a teacher, politician, former First Lady of Lagos State, senator and First Lady of Nigeria.

He also described her as a source of support to President Bola Tinubu and commended her activities through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

According to Oyebanji, the initiative has supported people across the country through programmes focused on education, poverty alleviation and the empowerment of vulnerable groups, including orphans, people living with disabilities, elderly citizens and traders.

He said residents of Ekiti State had also benefited from the initiative, noting that students had received scholarships and laptop computers, while female farmers had received financial assistance and farming inputs.

Oyebanji added that widows and senior citizens in the state had benefited from food items, cash grants and other forms of support.

He also acknowledged the ICT Centre facilitated by the First Lady at Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, under the Renewed Hope Initiative.

The governor recalled Tinubu’s recent visit to Ekiti, during which thousands of traders were empowered and the ICT Centre was inaugurated.

Oyebanji described the First Lady as a friend and supporter of Ekiti State, while wishing her long life, sound health and many more years of service.
