Otti Appeals to Investors Who Relocated From Abia to Return
Otti urges investors who left Abia to return, promising improved infrastructure, security and a friendlier business environment.
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has appealed to investors and business owners who previously relocated from the state to return and take advantage of the improving business environment.
Otti made the appeal while speaking on efforts by his administration to rebuild investor confidence and strengthen economic activities across Abia.
The governor said the state was undergoing significant transformation aimed at creating an environment where businesses could operate, expand and attract fresh investments.
He urged investors who left Abia because of unfavourable conditions in the past to reconsider the decision, assuring them that his administration was committed to providing the infrastructure and policies required for sustainable business growth.
Otti highlighted ongoing efforts to improve roads, electricity, security and other critical infrastructure, describing them as essential components of the state’s economic development strategy.
According to him, the government’s objective is to make Abia more attractive to both local and international investors while supporting existing businesses.
He also emphasised the importance of creating jobs and expanding economic opportunities for residents through private-sector investment.
The governor said his administration would continue to engage with the business community and remove obstacles that could discourage investment in the state.
Otti’s appeal comes as his administration continues to position Abia as a major commercial and industrial hub in the South-East.
The governor maintained that restoring confidence among businesses and investors was central to the state’s economic transformation agenda.
He encouraged entrepreneurs and companies with previous links to Abia to examine the changes taking place and consider returning to the state to participate in its emerging economic opportunities.
