Obanikoro Urges APC Members to Unite As 2027 Campaigns Begin
APC campaign Director-General Musiliu Obanikoro has urged members in Lagos to reconcile differences and unite ahead of the 2027 elections.
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Director-General of the President Bola Tinubu, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Campaign Organisation, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State to close ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Obanikoro made the call during an interfaith prayer session organised for the APC, President Bola Tinubu, Hamzat and other party candidates in Lagos.
Speaking under the theme, “Let God Go Before Us,” he urged members to put aside disagreements arising from the party’s primary elections and work together for the success of the APC.
He said internal contests were inevitable in political parties, but warned that disagreements should not become personal conflicts capable of weakening the party ahead of the general elections.
“Let us disagree without becoming enemies, let us pray and work for the party, let us be united and look up to Almighty God for victory for our great party,” Obanikoro said.
He stressed that organisation, unity and strategy were important to electoral success, but said the party also needed divine guidance in dealing with circumstances beyond its control.
Obanikoro said the campaign organisation would take the APC's message to communities across Lagos State and the wider South-West, while urging party members to support the party's candidates at the presidential, National Assembly and state levels.
He expressed confidence in the APC's prospects in the 2027 elections, particularly the re-election bid of President Tinubu and the governorship campaign of Hamzat.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who also addressed the gathering, said he would make himself available for the presidential campaign and urged party members to sustain efforts towards electoral victory.
The prayer session brought together APC leaders, lawmakers, traditional rulers, religious leaders and party supporters as the party formally began another phase of its mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
