North-Central APC Forum Backs Yari to Deliver Tinubu’s 2027 Victory
The North-Central APC Forum has expressed confidence in Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s ability to deliver victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election, describing his appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council as a strategic choice. The forum also pledged to work with the council to mobilise six million votes for Tinubu across the North-Central.
The North-Central All Progressives Congress Forum has expressed confidence in the ability of former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 presidential election.
The forum made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Chairman, Saleh Zazzaga, while congratulating Yari on his appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
It also congratulated two other North-Central members appointed to the council, James Faleke and Okpokwu Ogenyi.
Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives, was appointed Deputy Director-General, Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, while Ogenyi was named North-Central Coordinator.
The forum said Tinubu had made the right choice by appointing Yari to lead the campaign, describing him as a widely accepted politician with strong networks across the northern states.
It said Yari was respected by political, traditional and religious leaders, as well as youths and women, adding that his experience made him capable of mobilising support for the President.
The forum also noted Yari’s previous experience in party administration and political mobilisation, saying his appointment was not unexpected because of his activities in support of Tinubu’s re-election.
Yari, who represents Zamfara West in the Senate, is the founder of the Renewed Hope Network, a grassroots mobilisation group focused on promoting the achievements of Tinubu’s administration.
The forum pledged its full support for the campaign council and said it would work with Ogenyi and other stakeholders to mobilise six million votes for Tinubu across the North-Central in the 2027 election.
It also expressed confidence in Faleke and Ogenyi’s ability to deliver their respective assignments, citing their previous political and campaign experience.
The APC unveiled its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council on Saturday, with Tinubu as chairman, Vice-President Kashim Shettima as Vice-Chairman I and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as Vice-Chairman II.
Yari was named Director-General, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was appointed secretary.
