NCAA Confirms Missing Nigerian Woman Found Safe In Qatar
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that 37-year-old Saratu Jibo, who was reported missing after arriving in Doha, Qatar, has been found safe.
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that a Nigerian woman reported missing after arriving in Doha, Qatar, has been found safe.
The woman, identified as 37-year-old Saratu Jibo, had travelled from Lagos to Doha and was reported missing after losing contact with her family following her arrival.
NCAA Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, said CCTV footage from Qatar Airways confirmed that Jibo collected her luggage and left Hamad International Airport.
The authority had earlier been working with Qatari agencies to establish whether she reached the hotel where she had a booking after leaving the airport.
Achimugu later confirmed that Jibo had been located safely, bringing an end to concerns over her whereabouts.
The circumstances surrounding her disappearance after leaving the airport were not immediately disclosed.
