Natasha Empowers Constituents, Shares Mobile Devices, Laptops to Mark Third Senate Anniversary

Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has marked her third anniversary in the Senate with the distribution of smart devices, including laptop computers, to selected secondary schools in her constituency.

The intervention took place on Monday, November 2, 2026, during visits to OCSS Oboroke, Adavi Model Secondary School in Adavi Eba, and Community Secondary School, Obangede, in Kogi State.

According to a statement by her media aide, Mike Idoko, the initiative is aimed at supporting digital learning and improving students’ access to educational resources.

Akpoti-Uduaghan said the distribution reflected her commitment to quality representation, educational development and the empowerment of young people.

She described the devices as tools for learning, innovation and opportunity, adding that students’ geographical location should not limit their access to knowledge or their aspirations.

The senator urged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the equipment, embrace digital literacy and remain committed to their studies.

She also charged teachers and school administrators to ensure that the devices were properly maintained and used for their intended educational purposes.

At Community Secondary School, Obangede, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr Shehu Sule, commended the senator for extending the intervention to the institution.

Sule praised her contributions to education and human capital development, noting that access to digital learning tools would expose students to wider educational opportunities.

He also presented her with an award in recognition of her contributions to education and youth development.

Akpoti-Uduaghan, who was elected to represent Kogi Central in the 10th National Assembly, said her constituency development efforts also covered healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment and economic development.

Among her other initiatives, she has advocated the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Ihima through Senate Bill 521, aimed at improving access to specialist healthcare services in Kogi Central and neighbouring communities.

She reaffirmed her commitment to pursuing interventions that improve the social and economic well-being of her constituents.
