NANS Begins Nationwide Tour of Federal Road Projects, Hails Tinubu, Umahi
The National Association of Nigerian Students has commenced a nationwide inspection of federal road projects, commending President Bola Tinubu and Works Minister David Umahi for ongoing infrastructure development.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has begun a nationwide tour of federal road projects to assess ongoing construction and rehabilitation works across the country.
The students’ body commended President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Works, David Umahi, for what it described as efforts to improve road infrastructure and address longstanding challenges on major federal highways.
NANS said the inspection would enable its leadership to assess the progress of projects directly and provide feedback on their impact on students, communities and other road users.
The association said good road infrastructure remained important to education and economic activities, noting that poor roads could increase travel difficulties and affect access to schools and other institutions.
It also acknowledged the role of the Ministry of Works in advancing road construction and rehabilitation projects under the current administration.
NANS said the nationwide exercise would cover several federal road projects and allow students to document developments at project sites.
The association added that it would continue to engage government agencies on infrastructure and other issues affecting students and young Nigerians.
