The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqha Darma, has said voters in Katsina State will support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Darma made the statement on Sunday in Katsina during the inauguration of the Arewa for Asiwaju Group, also known as A4A, which was established to mobilise support for the President and communicate the Federal Government’s projects and interventions across Northern Nigeria.

The minister, who also serves as chairman of the Katsina State Coordination Committee of the group, said the initiative was conceived by prominent Nigerians, including the National Security Adviser, former governors, ministers and former government officials.

He said the group would coordinate and document Federal Government projects across the region, while also taking information about the administration’s programmes and interventions to communities across Northern Nigeria.

According to him, the initiative was linked to the Office for the Coordination of Northern Projects, which he said was responsible for compiling the administration’s activities and projects in the region.

Darma said the Katsina meeting was primarily organised to formally inaugurate the state coordination committee, comprising selected individuals from the state.

He added that members of the group would remain committed to mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

“Our votes for Tinubu in 2027 are non-negotiable,” Darma said.
