Manchester City are making a late push to sign Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, while Arsenal are targeting Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day.

City are keen on Fernandez as manager Enzo Maresca looks to strengthen his midfield following the departure of Rodri to Barcelona, alongside other midfield exits.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are exploring a late deal for Alvarez as they seek to strengthen their attack.

The Argentina international is reportedly keen on leaving Atletico Madrid, although the Spanish club have resisted attempts to part with the forward.

Arsenal's interest comes amid other attacking changes at the club, with Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus among the players linked with moves away.
