Landon Emenalo Joins Celtic On Loan From Chelsea

Chelsea academy midfielder Landon Emenalo has joined Scottish giants Celtic on loan for the new season.

Emenalo, the son of former Nigeria international and ex-Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo, will continue his development with the Scottish champions after making his way through Chelsea’s youth system.

The 18-year-old was born in the United States and has represented England at youth level. He has also previously featured for the United States Under-17 team.

Emenalo began his youth career at Chelsea before spending time with Monaco’s academy. He returned to Chelsea in 2019 and has since progressed through the club’s development system.

The midfielder has attracted attention for his performances in Chelsea’s youth teams and will now gain experience outside the club as he takes on a new challenge in Scotland.

His move to Celtic provides an opportunity to compete at senior level and continue his development in a competitive environment.

Michael Emenalo, who earned 14 caps for Nigeria during his playing career, also enjoyed a long association with Chelsea after joining the club’s coaching and technical structure.

He later served as Chelsea’s technical director before taking senior football executive roles with Monaco and in Saudi Arabia.

Landon’s move to Celtic represents the latest stage in his football development, with the teenager looking to establish himself in senior football after progressing through the academy ranks.
