Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has urged Nigerians to follow him on TikTok to receive authentic information, updates and exclusive content about his activities.
Kwankwaso made the announcement in a post on his official X account on Wednesday, confirming his presence on the short-form video-sharing platform and inviting members of the public to connect with him.
He said the account would provide followers with direct access to information about his daily life, alongside current updates and other content.
The former governor also expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, declaring that the country would overcome its challenges.
“Nigeria will be OK,” he said, conveying confidence in the country’s prospects.
The move provides Kwankwaso with another channel to communicate directly with supporters and the wider public, particularly younger audiences who actively use social media platforms.
TikTok has increasingly become a communication tool for public figures, political organisations and other prominent individuals seeking to share videos, public announcements and personal updates.
Kwankwaso’s announcement comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections. He is the vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), alongside presidential candidate Peter Obi.
The former governor has remained active in national political discussions, with his supporters and political allies engaging in mobilisation efforts ahead of the next electoral cycle.
His appeal to Nigerians to follow his account offers an additional avenue for disseminating his messages and engaging with supporters beyond traditional political gatherings and media appearances.
