JAMB Extends Deadline for 2021–2025 Admission Acceptance to November 30
JAMB has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to accept or reject them on CAPS until November 30, 2026.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to accept or reject the offers on its Central Admissions Processing System CAPS.
The board announced the extension on Wednesday, giving affected candidates until November 30, 2026, to indicate their decisions.
JAMB urged candidates with pending offers to log into their CAPS accounts and either accept or reject the admissions before the new deadline.
The board warned that candidates who failed to take action by November 30 would lose the status of their outstanding offers on its records.
“After 30 November, outstanding offers that have neither been accepted nor rejected will revert to ‘Not Admitted’ on JAMB’s records,” the board said.
The latest extension follows an earlier deadline of September 30, 2026, which JAMB had announced in August for candidates with outstanding admission offers dating from 2021.
The board had initially set August 31 as the deadline before extending it to September 30.
JAMB said candidates who accept their outstanding offers would be able to proceed to print and obtain their admission letters, while those who reject them would have their CAPS dashboards reverted to “Not Admitted”.
The board also said candidates who had moved to another institution or programme could accept their previous outstanding admission and subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion, where applicable.
Candidates who secured admission during the 2026 exercise but still had previous offers pending could also reject the earlier offers without affecting their current admission.
JAMB urged all affected candidates to check their CAPS accounts promptly and make the necessary decisions before the November 30 deadline.
It further warned that any subsequent request to update an admission after the deadline would attract the applicable penalty fee.
