Igboho Lauds Firm Over N50m Abuja Land Donation to Security Outfit
Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has commended KSI Construction Company Limited for donating a plot of land valued at ₦50 million to Iru Ekun Security Network for its Abuja office. The firm also plans to donate 10 motorcycles to support the organisation’s operations.
Yoruba Nation activist and founder of Iru Ekun Security Network, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has praised KSI Construction Company Limited for donating a plot of land worth ₦50 million to the security organisation for the construction of its Federal Capital Territory office in Abuja.
Igboho said the donation would strengthen the organisation’s official engagements in the nation’s capital and support its efforts to address insecurity in communities across the South-West.
In a statement issued by his media office, he also disclosed that the company had concluded plans to donate 10 brand-new motorcycles to support the network’s field operations during the proposed unveiling of its Abuja office.
He expressed appreciation for the support, noting that cooperation between community security initiatives, government institutions and private organisations was important in tackling criminal activities.
Igboho reaffirmed Iru Ekun’s commitment to working with the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Department of State Services and other security stakeholders to promote peace and safety across Yorubaland.
He also acknowledged the support of the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu and governors in the South-West in efforts to address insecurity and other criminal activities in the region.
The Group Managing Director of KSI Construction Company Limited, Dr Koleola Emmanuel Oladeni, said the donation was motivated by what the company considered improvements in security following Iru Ekun’s operations in collaboration with conventional security agencies.
Oladeni attributed reported reductions in kidnapping, banditry, highway attacks and violence against farming communities to the activities of security personnel working with the police, military and intelligence services.
He said the land would provide a permanent base for the organisation’s operations in Abuja, while the planned motorcycle donation would improve its mobility and operational capacity.
The company’s management also called on other businesses and individuals to support initiatives aimed at improving public safety, describing such assistance as a way to encourage those involved in community security.
The proposed Abuja office is expected to expand Iru Ekun Security Network’s presence in the Federal Capital Territory and facilitate its engagement with relevant security agencies.
