Hakimi Bags Hat-Trick as PSG Thrash Le Havre 5-1
Achraf Hakimi scored three goals and provided two assists as Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to defeat Le Havre 5-1 in Ligue 1.
Achraf Hakimi produced a remarkable performance, scoring a hat-trick and providing two assists as Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Le Havre 5-1 in the French Ligue 1 on Friday.
The Moroccan right-back was instrumental in all five goals as PSG recovered from an early setback to extend their winning run in all competitions to nine matches.
Le Havre took a surprise lead in the 18th minute through Josh Maja, who finished off a move to put the hosts ahead.
PSG responded eight minutes later when Hakimi set up Mika Godts to level the score. The defender then put the visitors ahead in the 28th minute with a low finish, completing the turnaround before half-time.
Hakimi extended PSG’s lead in the 55th minute with a well-taken free-kick that beat Le Havre goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart.
Senny Mayulu added the fourth goal in the 62nd minute after PSG launched a swift counterattack, with Hakimi involved in the move. The Moroccan completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute, when his effort found the net after a deflection.
The performance marked Hakimi’s first career hat-trick and highlighted his attacking influence despite his defensive role. PSG coach Luis Enrique praised the opportunity for less-used players to contribute, with several regular starters absent or rested.
The victory lifted PSG to 20 points from nine league matches, keeping them at the top of the table. Le Havre, meanwhile, remained bottom with two points after suffering a fifth consecutive defeat.
Hakimi’s three goals and two assists made him the central figure in a commanding away performance as the reigning French champions strengthened their position in the title race.
