Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday visited the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja following his re-election.

The visit came shortly after Adeleke met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, in what marked a series of high-level engagements following his victory in the Osun governorship election.

The meeting with Wike was disclosed by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

Olayinka also shared photographs of the meeting on X, captioning the post simply: “Governor Ademola Adeleke visits the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.”

The purpose and details of the discussions between Adeleke and Wike were not immediately disclosed.

Adeleke’s visit to Wike comes amid increased political attention surrounding the governor’s re-election and his recent engagements with prominent political figures.

Earlier on Thursday, Adeleke visited President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where the two held a closed-door meeting.

The President had previously congratulated Adeleke on his re-election and urged him to unite the people of Osun State irrespective of their political affiliations.

The governor’s meeting with Wike also comes against the backdrop of recent political debates involving the FCT Minister and opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Both Adeleke and Wike remain influential figures within Nigeria’s evolving political landscape, making the governor’s series of Abuja engagements a subject of political interest.

However, there was no immediate indication that the meeting was connected to any specific political arrangement or issue.

Further details of the discussions were not available at the time of filing this report.
