Ghana wins bid to host 2027 African Games
The African Union Sports Council has awarded Ghana the hosting rights for the 2027 African Games across five cities with Accra as the main hub.
Ghana has been awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 African Games following a successful bid presentation to the African Union Sports Council in Addis Ababa.
Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif called the announcement a historic moment for Ghanaian sport.
The 2027 Games are expected to attract over 8,000 athletes from all 54 African countries competing in 35 sports disciplines.
