Flooding Disrupts Learning as Delta Pupils Battle Waterlogged Classrooms

Flooding has disrupted educational activities in parts of Delta State following days of heavy rainfall that submerged homes, roads and school premises in affected communities.

Several communities in Udu Local Government Area were hit by severe flooding, with schools among the facilities affected. The affected areas include Igbiki Layout, Ekete Inland and Waterside, Ovwian-Aladja, Orhuwhorun and parts of the Delta Steel Company estates.

The flooding has disrupted movement within the communities and prevented some children from attending classes.
