Flick Hopes Yamal Can Face Valencia After Knock
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is hopeful Lamine Yamal will be fit to face Valencia after the winger picked up a knock in training.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is hoping teenage winger Lamine Yamal will recover in time to feature against Valencia in Sunday’s La Liga clash at Mestalla.
Yamal did not train with his teammates on Saturday after suffering a knock, instead working separately at the club’s training ground.
Flick, however, said the injury was not considered serious and confirmed that the 19-year-old would travel with the squad to Valencia.
The Barcelona manager said he would discuss Yamal’s condition with the player before deciding whether he should start the match.
Barcelona head into the fixture with three wins from their opening three league matches, while Valencia are still searching for their first victory of the season.
Flick will be hoping to have Yamal available as Barcelona look to maintain their perfect start to the campaign.
