Fisher Beats Pirotton by Majority Decision After 10-Round Heavyweight Battle
Johnny Fisher survived a demanding 10-round contest against Belgium’s Michael Pirotton to secure a majority decision victory at the Copper Box Arena in London.
British heavyweight Johnny Fisher secured a majority decision victory over Belgium’s Michael Pirotton after a bruising 10-round contest at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Fisher started aggressively, using his jab and body attacks to establish an early advantage, while Pirotton responded with counter-punches and gradually increased the pressure as the contest progressed.
The British fighter cut Pirotton above the left eye early in the bout and repeatedly targeted the body before following up with punches to the head.
Pirotton, however, grew into the contest as Fisher’s energy levels dropped. The Belgian landed increasingly frequently in the middle rounds and forced Fisher to work hard to maintain his advantage.
Fisher found another burst of energy in the sixth round, landing chopping hooks and driving Pirotton towards the ropes, but the Belgian continued to press forward.
By the closing rounds, both fighters were visibly fatigued. Pirotton’s left eye was badly swollen, while Fisher struggled to maintain the pace but continued to land powerful shots.
Fisher produced one of his strongest punches in the final round, shaking Pirotton with a heavy right hand, but could not secure the stoppage.
The judges scored the bout 95-95, 96-95 and 98-92 in Fisher’s favour, giving him a majority decision victory.
The victory improved Fisher’s professional record to 15 wins and one defeat, with 12 of his victories coming inside the distance.
The contest was Fisher’s first fight under Zuffa Boxing and came after his previous victory over Ivan Balaz in December 2025.
Pirotton entered the bout with a record of 12 wins and two defeats, having won his previous two fights by stoppage.
Fisher’s victory keeps him on course for further opportunities in the British heavyweight division, although the demanding nature of the contest provided a significant test over the full 10 rounds.
