First Lady Says Tinubu Will Deliver Greater Prosperity if Re-elected
Oluremi Tinubu has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, expressing confidence that his economic reforms will lead to greater prosperity, improved food security and stronger economic growth.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will deliver greater prosperity to Nigerians if re-elected for a second term in 2027.
She gave the assurance on Saturday in Lafia, Nasarawa State, during the grand rally of the North-Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network organised in support of President Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
According to a statement issued by her Senior Special Assistant on Media, Busola Kukoyi, the rally attracted members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the North-Central region.
Among those present were the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and other governors from the region.
Mrs Tinubu said the President’s Independence Day address, titled From Reforms to Prosperity, reflected the administration’s determination to move beyond economic reforms towards delivering improved living standards and greater opportunities for Nigerians.
She maintained that the economy was stabilising, citing what she described as a decline in foreign exchange rates and renewed interest from investors as signs of progress.
The First Lady also commended state governors for their infrastructure development efforts, particularly initiatives aimed at supporting farmers and strengthening economic activities.
On food security, she highlighted a food bank programme designed to support children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers with nutritious food. She said the initiative also provided assistance to malnourished children to improve their health and development.
Mrs Tinubu further stated that young people in educational institutions were receiving increased funding, urging APC members to communicate the administration’s achievements and policy objectives to residents of their respective states.
Describing President Tinubu as a bold leader willing to make difficult decisions, she said his administration remained committed to building a stronger economy, safer communities and a more prosperous Nigeria.
She consequently called on Nigerians to vote for continuity by supporting the re-election of President Tinubu and Vice-President Shettima, alongside APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Other speakers at the rally also appealed to voters to support the President and the party in the forthcoming elections.
