Faith-Based Group Secures $1m for African Businesses
Loveworld Kingdom attracted $1m for an investment initiative aimed at helping small and medium-sized businesses expand operations and access new markets.
Loveworld Kingdom has secured $1m in funding for an investment initiative targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Africa, as the faith-based organisation seeks to address financing challenges facing entrepreneurs.
The funding was announced following the unveiling of the investment initiative at the Loveworld Trade and Investment Forum (LTIF) held in Accra, Ghana, in October 2026.
The initiative is designed to support businesses within the organisation’s network, particularly entrepreneurs seeking to increase production, expand their operations and access new markets.
Through its Ministry of Commerce, Loveworld Kingdom plans to connect business owners with potential investors, professionals and other resources within its network.
Stephanie Oforka, the organisation’s Executive Minister of Commerce and convener of the forum, said the initiative reflected the need for individuals and organisations to channel more capital towards businesses they want to see grow.
She stressed that supporting African enterprises would require more than discussions about economic development, noting the importance of directing investment towards productive businesses.
The organisation also highlighted the need for business credibility, product quality and responsible financial management.
Chidi Ezimako, Executive Minister of Hinterlands Ministries at Loveworld Kingdom, said businesses seeking support should demonstrate commercial viability and the capacity to meet their obligations.
Bolaji Akinboro, the organisation’s Special Adviser on the Economy and co-founder of Cellulant, emphasised the importance of strengthening productive capacity to help African businesses compete in regional and international markets.
The initiative comes amid persistent financing constraints facing small businesses across the continent. Many SMEs struggle to secure commercial loans because of limited collateral, inadequate financial records and the cost of borrowing.
Loveworld Kingdom said its next priority would be to help participating businesses improve standards, increase production capacity, secure investment and reach regional and international markets.
The organisation expects the fund to create additional opportunities for entrepreneurs within its network and contribute to enterprise development across Africa.
