Eno Pledges Support for Completion of NIPP Lot 18 Transmission Project

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has pledged the state government’s support for the completion of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company’s Lot 18 transmission project in the state.

The project involves the construction of a transmission line along the Ikot Ekpene axis and is expected to strengthen electricity transmission capacity in Akwa Ibom.

Eno assured stakeholders of his administration’s commitment to supporting the project and other initiatives aimed at improving power supply and infrastructure across the state.

The governor said reliable electricity remained important to industrial development, investment and improved economic activity.

He pledged to work with relevant federal agencies and project stakeholders to address challenges that could hinder the completion of the transmission project.

The development is part of broader efforts to improve the state’s power infrastructure and enhance electricity supply to communities and businesses.

The Federal Government, through the NDPHC and other stakeholders, has continued to pursue transmission projects aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s national electricity grid and improving power distribution across the country.
