Challenge Musa’s Facts, Don’t Replace Argument With Insults, Uba Sani’s Aide Tells El-Rufai

Senior Special Adviser to Governor Uba Sani on Public Affairs, Victor Mathew Bobai, has urged former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai to address allegations made against his administration with facts instead of personal attacks.

Bobai was reacting to criticism directed at Defence Minister Christopher Musa following his comments on El-Rufai’s record as Kaduna governor.

Musa had accused El-Rufai of deepening divisions in Kaduna during his tenure and alleged that residents from Southern Kaduna had faced restrictions on living in parts of the northern area of the state.

The Defence Minister also criticised aspects of El-Rufai’s handling of insecurity, including his administration’s reported engagement with bandits.

Bobai said El-Rufai should address the substance of Musa’s allegations rather than resorting to insults or personal attacks.

He urged the former governor to present evidence capable of challenging the Defence Minister’s claims and allow Nigerians to judge the issues on their merits.

The aide’s comments come amid renewed political exchanges between El-Rufai and officials associated with the Uba Sani administration over the former governor’s record and the current security situation in Kaduna.

Musa, while criticising El-Rufai, said he did not consider the former governor an enemy but described him as “misguided”. He also credited Governor Sani with efforts to improve unity and freedom of movement across Kaduna State.
