Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Nigerian winger Femi Azeez from Millwall on a four-year contract.
Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Nigerian international winger Femi Azeez from Championship club Millwall on a four-year contract.
Brighton confirmed the transfer on Wednesday after the two clubs completed the necessary documentation following Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
The deal was finalised after Brighton and Millwall submitted a deal sheet before the 11pm deadline, allowing the transfer to be completed during the extended period.
The transfer fee was not officially disclosed by Brighton, although reports put the deal at around £15 million.
Azeez, 25, joins Brighton after two seasons with Millwall, where he established himself as an important attacking player.
He made 74 appearances for Millwall across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing several assists during his time at the club.
The winger enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 Championship campaign, scoring 11 league goals and earning a place in the Championship Team of the Year.
Azeez began his professional career at Reading after progressing through non-league football, later becoming a key player for the club before moving to Millwall in 2024.
Born in Westminster, England, Azeez is eligible to represent Nigeria and has since featured for the Super Eagles.
His move to Brighton represents a major step in his career, with the winger now set to compete for a place in a Premier League squad.
Brighton described Azeez as a Nigerian international winger and confirmed that he had agreed a four-year deal with the club.
The transfer was completed on deadline day, making Azeez one of Brighton’s latest additions ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.
