Brentford 3-0 Chelsea: Premier League Highlights
Brentford scored three second-half goals to beat Chelsea 3-0 in the west London derby, with Jaidon Anthony, Igor Thiago and Fabio Carvalho on target.
Brentford secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Chelsea in their Premier League clash at the Gtech Community Stadium on Friday.
The match remained goalless until the 61st minute when Jaidon Anthony put Brentford ahead. Jannik Schuster headed Mikkel Damsgaard’s corner across the box, allowing Anthony to head home from close range.
Chelsea struggled to respond and Brentford doubled their lead in the 83rd minute.
Kevin Schade broke through the Chelsea defence and went one-on-one with goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who saved the initial effort. Igor Thiago reacted quickly to score the rebound and make it 2-0.
Brentford completed the scoring in the fourth minute of stoppage time when Fabio Carvalho converted Schade’s cross at the far post.
The result extended Brentford’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season and moved them to third place, while Chelsea remained without a league victory in their last three matches.
Chelsea have now conceded 12 goals in five Premier League games and are yet to keep a clean sheet in the competition this season. Brentford also became the first side to prevent Chelsea from scoring in the league this campaign.
Sky Sports has made the match highlights available on its website.
