Bayern Munich failed to score in a Bundesliga match for the first time in 59 games after being held to a 0-0 draw by Schalke on Saturday.

The defending champions dominated possession but struggled to break down a stubborn Schalke defence, with goalkeeper Loris Karius producing several important saves.

Bayern introduced Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala in the second half, but could not find a breakthrough.

The result ended Bayern’s run of scoring in 59 consecutive Bundesliga matches, their longest such streak in the competition.

It was also Bayern’s first goalless Bundesliga game since their 0-0 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in February 2025.

The draw saw Bayern drop points for the first time this season, while Schalke earned their first point since returning to the Bundesliga.
