Ayra Starr to Headline NFL London Game Halftime Show
Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr will headline the halftime show at the 2026 NFL London Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 11. The performance will make her the first major African artist to headline an NFL London Game halftime show.
Nigerian Afrobeats star Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, will headline the halftime show of the 2026 NFL London Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The performance is scheduled for Oct. 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the Eagles will face the Jaguars in the NFL’s Week Five London fixture.
The announcement makes Ayra Starr the first major African artist to headline an NFL London Game halftime show, marking another milestone for the global growth of Afrobeats.
The NFL said the London performance would be one of seven halftime shows presented by American Express across its 2026 International Games, spanning seven countries and four continents.
Ayra Starr expressed excitement over the opportunity, describing the performance as a dream come true and saying she looked forward to bringing her “Starrgirl” brand to the NFL’s global stage.
NFL Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment, Tim Tubito, said London was one of the world’s most influential music cities and noted the growing influence of African music in the city.
He described Ayra Starr as a generational talent with a strong connection to London audiences and said she was the right artist to continue the momentum created by previous NFL London halftime performances.
The game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. British Summer Time on Oct. 11, with the halftime performance broadcast live in the UK on Channel 5 and Sky Sports.
The NFL has increasingly used its international games to showcase artists from different regions as part of efforts to expand the league’s global audience.
Ayra Starr’s selection further highlights the growing international reach of Nigerian music and Afrobeats, with the singer having recently performed at major events and venues in the United Kingdom.
