Arteta Rages at Arsenal Stars During Narrow Napoli Win

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was seen expressing his frustration towards three players during his side’s narrow 1-0 victory over Napoli in the UEFA Champions League.

The Gunners secured all three points in their opening league-phase fixture after captain Martin Ødegaard scored the decisive goal in the 75th minute.

Arsenal dominated much of the match and created several opportunities but struggled to convert their chances, with Arteta visibly unhappy with some of his players’ decisions and execution during the game.

Mikel Merino was among those who missed a good opportunity in the first half after being set up by Eberechi Eze, while Viktor Gyökeres also struggled to make a significant impact before being replaced by Kai Havertz.

The Gunners continued to apply pressure after the interval, eventually finding the breakthrough when substitute Christos Tzolis combined with Ben White before setting up Ødegaard.

The Norwegian midfielder's powerful effort went in off the post to give Arsenal a deserved lead.

Arteta's side had further opportunities to extend their advantage, but Noni Madueke missed a late chance, while Havertz had a goal ruled out for offside in stoppage time.

Despite the missed opportunities, Arsenal held on for a 1-0 victory, extending their unbeaten run in the Champions League and making a winning start to their latest European campaign.

Arteta acknowledged afterwards that the scoreline did not fully reflect Arsenal's performance, saying his team created many chances against a difficult opponent but needed to be more clinical.
